Alison earned a bachelor of Social Work degree from Fort Hays State University and earned her Master of Social Work degree from Wichita State University.
Alison has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. She has worked with victims of physical neglect, physical abuse, emotional abuse and sexual abuse as well as runaways and at-risk teens. She has experience with children and families who have been involved in the Foster care system. She also has experience in the areas of grief and loss, divorce, trauma, life adjustment issues, domestic violence, life stressors, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and other mood disorders.
Alison works from a strengths perspective believing that each individual possess inner strengths and building upon those strengths will empower them to make positive changes in their lives. By the grace of God, each person has the power within themselves to change, and one’s past does not have to define their future. Alison is married and is the proud mother of two children.
Outside of work, Alison enjoys spending time with her family, engaging in regular physical activity, watching movies, laughing with friends, and snuggling with her two dogs, Hope and Harley.
Alison considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients as they advance towards living the purposeful, joy-filled life they desire, and discovering the strength and abilities they never realized they had.

Alison also has experience with CINC and JJA systems and is EMDR trained. She works with ages 12 and up.
