Brian earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry from Friends University. He went on to receive Master’s degrees in Religious Education and in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX, as well as a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with an emphasis in Higher Education from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, he has worked in a variety of settings over the past twenty years, both inpatient and outpatient, including time as a school counselor, an EAP therapist, a private practice clinician, and an addictions counselor.
Currently, Brian is Professor of Psychology at Sterling College, where he teaches a full load of undergraduate courses and serves as an academic advisor, and has been Pastor of Moundridge United Methodist Church since 2014. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, working out, and being with his three children.
