Sherry is trained in and utilizes EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). EMDR is a scientifically proven method of healing the nervous system of both little “t” and big “T” traumas, from minor anxieties and losses to more significant experiences of abuse. Sherry is currently pursuing her certification in EMDR through the EMDRIA (EMDR International Association). She has also been trained as an Attachment-Based Intervention Specialist through the American Association of Christian Counselors.
She believes that all people were created with dignity and worth for relationships as beautiful masterpieces. These masterpieces have become fragmented by both small and large traumas due to the brokenness of our world, leaving glorious ruins. Sherry’s passion is to walk alongside others in their healing, equipping them with the tools they need to address their emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual goals in pursuing restoration and wholeness. Sherry’s faith perspective lays the foundation to offer acceptance, grace, freedom, and confident hope for healing.
In addition to being a therapist, Sherry is a wife and mother. In her spare time, she enjoys reading classical fiction, playing games with her kids, walking, running, and riding her bike outside.
