Glen Thompson,
Student Intern

Glendon Thompson is an LPC student intern bringing over 24 years of experience in the fire service, along with a lifetime of leadership, ministry, and a deep commitment to serving others. A seasoned first responder and devoted minister in the Christian faith, Glendon is driven by a passion to help people confront the deeper questions of life and discover their true calling.
Throughout his life, Glendon has worn many hats: firefighter, husband, father, minister, musician, mentor, and now counselor-in-training. His background includes directing and speaking at numerous church youth camps, leading worship through music, and guiding individuals and families through both crisis and celebration. Having been married for over 25 years and raising three children, Glendon brings a grounded and compassionate perspective to the challenges of marriage, parenting, and personal growth.
His experience in emergency services has given him unique insight into the human impact of trauma, PTSD, and the quiet struggles that often go unseen. He is especially passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate those emotional and existential challenges with honesty, resilience, and hope.
In his spare time, Glendon enjoys the culinary arts, physical fitness, and all things outdoors—from hiking and kayaking to shooting sports and fishing. While older than the average counseling student, his life experience is a rich asset to his work, and his youthful heart keeps him relatable, energetic, and fully engaged with those he serves.
Glendon is dedicated to walking alongside others as they uncover their worth, strengthen their relationships, and live lives of purpose and authenticity.
